Applicants to all other programs may be required to take the GRE if your undergraduate GPA is below 3.0. Please consult with your program coordinator. If you are an international student or earned your bachelor's degree from a non-U.S. institution, you are required to take the general GRE. The minimum GRE score for admission into the professional science master's program is 1000 (combined quantitative and verbal) and 3.0 (analytical). GRE scores older than five years are not accepted.
Professional Statement: As requested on the application form, you must submit a professional statement to the Office of Graduate Admission. The professional statement is a one-page essay on why you want to earn this degree. You should explain your background, your qualifications, and your future personal or professional goals.
Recommendation Letters: You must also submit two letters of recommendation. Please follow up to make sure they have been sent to, and received by, the Office of Graduate Admission. You may check the status of your application by using your ID number at: the Graduate Admission Applicant Portal. Recommenders may write a personalized letter or use the form provided with the application.
