Donald F. Othmer

Armour Institute 1923

 

Chemical engineer, innovator and academic. Othmer was author of hundreds of technical articles and the co-editor of the 17-volume Kirk-Othmer Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology. A Distinguished Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of New York and the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Othmer held more than 120 U.S. patents. He also was a consultant with the United Nations’ World Health Organization and UNESCO.
