Florence K. Bassett
Architect, design consultant, and furniture designer. As head of Knoll Associates, Inc., Planning Unit from 1943 to 1965, Bassett set the standards for modern interior design. Her work has been designated "good design" by the Museum of Modern Art, and the American Institute of Architects awarded her its Gold Medal for Professional Excellence.
