Richard B. Ogilvie

Attorney and governor. Ogilvie served from 1969 to 1973 as the 37th governor of Illinois. During his administration, Illinois became one of the first states to enact sweeping environmental legislation. In addition, a constitutional convention was held that produced the first comprehensive reform of Illinois government in this century. He later was a partner in the Chicago law firm of Isham, Lincoln and Beale.
