Physics Inquiry II, PLED 531
About this Course:
This course is designed for secondary level physics teachers. Participants may elect to receive three (3) graduate credits from the Center for Professional Development of Illinois Institute of Technology in cooperation with the Department of Mathematics and Science Education.
Physics Inquiry II (PLED 531) and Physics Inquiry III (PLED 532) are sequel courses to Physics Inquiry I (PLED 530). Each of the courses covers different topics for teaching Physics at the secondary source level.
Prerequisites:
Certified 6 - 12 Physics teachers
Expected Outcomes:
Participants will learn physics science content that is aligned with the National Science Education Standards for students in grades 6 - 12; learn pedagogical approaches to teach physics to students in grades 6 - 12 classrooms.
Course Outline:
Instructional activities developed by IIT faculty will be provided. Additional handouts will be distributed.
