2009 Student Research Poster Competition ResultsHeld during the 2009 Karl Menger Lecture and Awards event on April 20, 2009, the 2009 Student Research Poster Competition saw a record number of 11 entrants, with seven graduate students and four undergraduates entering posters. Representing each of the areas of research specialty within the department, students presented their research to attendees of the Karl Menger Lecture, and were graded by a panel of six judges comprised of faculty, alumni, and the guest Karl Menger Lecturer. Congratulations to this year's winners of the competition.

Joint 1st Place: Eugene Lamie, YoungJu Jo
Jo's poster presentation also won first place at the 2009 Illinois Section of the Mathematical Association of America (ISMAA) annual meeting. Read more about Jo's research here.
