    IIT CS Department

    When the Information Science Center became the Department of Computer Science in 1971, it was already offering master's degrees and outreach courses for high-school teachers and students. Since then, CS has become the largest department in the College of Science and Letters. It has developed a long history of providing a rigorous education with internship and research opportunities in industry and national laboratories.
