
Gady Agam

Gady Agam, associate professor of Computer Science, has a solid reputation in experimental and visual computing, and runs the Visual Computing Lab within the Department of Computer Science. In keeping with IIT's interdisciplinary traditions, Agam has established research collaborations with IIT's Medical Imaging Research Center and the Information Retrieval Lab, and the Center for Integrative Neuroscience and Neuroengineering at The University of Chicago.
His innovative work focuses on the development and application of image analysis techniques to medical, scientific, industrial and military problems, applying image-based rendering to virtual environments, image-based perceptual user interfaces and multimedia computing. An excellent and engaged instructor, Agam has introduced and revised several undergraduate and graduate courses, and supervises the theses work of many graduate students.
