Research
Dr. Borkar's primary professional experience has been in Computers, Telecom Networks, and Wireless systems while he was at Lucent Technologies since 1980. In the computers and networking areas, he has contributed to fault recovery, operating system, and networking software, performance, systems engineering, architecture, and product management. In the Telecom Networks, he has been very active in call processing, routing, communications protocols, and real time and distributed Operating systems developments. He has also been responsible for development of packet networks and integration, testing, and delivery of the 3G Wireless systems.
