Norb KaiserB.S. in Industrial Engineering, 1963. Retired Chairman and CEO of Kamco Plastics, Inc.
While Norb Kaiser had a highly successful career as a Kamco Plastics executive and as former vice president of the Arco Engraving and Die Mold Co., he also believes there are other areas of a person’s life—family, faith, and community—that deserve focused attention. As an IIT student, he took his first steps toward developing a plan for each of these four areas.
Kaiser proposed the university's first Homecoming celebration, an event that continues to this day. He was also president of his sophomore and junior classes, and was named Man of the Year as a senior. He says that his fraternity brothers encouraged him to expand his horizons.
"That's how many things went at IIT," explains Kaiser. "You accomplished things you weren't sure you could and felt very confident when you left."
Kaiser received an Alumni Service Award for his commitment to the university as an IIT Life Trustee and his leadership roles in philanthropy, alumni involvement, Greek life, and student recruiting. He continues his community work as a board member of two businesses and as a volunteer with the Epsilon Chapter of Phi Kappa Alpha.
