Libraries
The mission of the libraries of Illinois Institute of Technology is to acquire, organize, preserve, and disseminate knowledge in order to support the research needs of students and faculty. Collectively, the libraries offer access to over 1.8 million volumes, including books, journals, newspapers, videos, DVDs, maps, microforms, and government documents. Electronic resources include access to full-text e-journals and e-books, and over 100 online research databases. Patrons of IIT libraries have access to the I-Share statewide academic catalog, subject specialists, and services including reference, instruction and interlibrary loan.

Paul V. Galvin Library
The university’s main library serves all academic programs, including engineering, computer science, business, design, the physical sciences, psychology, and the humanities. The library is a government documents depository and houses the university Archives.
Graham Resource Center
Located in historic S.R. Crown Hall, the GRC collection features print and electronic resources for the College of Architecture.
Center for the Study of Ethics in the Professions Library
Supporting the Center for the Study of Ethics in the Professions, this library collects and maintains materials on practical and professional ethics.
