We all experience personal and professional change in our lives. Sometimes we choose it and sometimes it just happens to us. Effective leaders are able to navigate and guide themselves and others through uncertain and challenging times.
Leading People Through Change
Saturday, February 16, 10 am – 2 pm
Facilitator: Dorie Ellzey Blesoff
This half-day workshop will provide students with the tools necessary to lead people through change. Upon completing the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Utilize change tools to help navigate self and others effectively through change.
- Recognize the difference between a “change” and “transition” using the guidelines of William Bridges.
- Increase cross-cultural leadership effectiveness through awareness of cultural norms that impact best practices for leading people through change.
Pre-work: Think of an example of an organization you have led, such as campus organization, team, family, neighborhood, social, dorm, etc. and bring with you a description of one specific change faced by that organization.
