Department of Applied Mathematics Remembers Karl Menger With Keynote Lecture and More Events
March 26, 2024Join the Illinois Tech Applied Math Department as we honor the legacy of Karl Menger. The Menger Day Celebration will be held April 8-9, 2024, at the Mies Campus. Karl Menger was a faculty member in the Department of Mathematics at Illinois Tech from 1946 to 1971, who influenced many students, fellow faculty members, and friends during his lifetime. Regarded as one of the finest mathematicians of the twentieth century, he made significant contributions to the fields of dimension theory, probability, economics, ethics, geometry, and calculus. -

‘The Lightning Thief’ Musical Performances Held April 4–6
March 19, 202433rd Street Production is holding performances of The Lightning Thief, a musical based on Rick Riordan's first Percy Jackson book. Performances will be held in Hermann Hall Auditorium on April 4, 5, and 6 at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. to get into the auditorium. Entrance is free and we will hold a raffle on each night that is free to join. Win prizes and enjoy the show!
