I. GENERAL EDUCATION PROGRAM - Please consult the General Education section of the current IIT Bulletin for complete requirements.
- Basic Writing Proficiency - Students must show basic writing proficiency by receiving a satisfactory score on the Writing Proficiency Examination or by passing an English Composition course.

- Choose one course from section B or section C from the following: ART 115, 151, 152, 153, 154, 155; HIS 130, 131, 140, 141; HUM 208, 224; INS 159, 208; LIT 222, 225, 229; MUS 104, 105, 106, 107; or THE 100, 122, 124.
- Science Electives - A minimum of twelve (12) credit hours is required to fulfill this requirement. Choose from the following to total 12 credit hours: BIO 105, 110, 113, 114, 115, 120, 130, 135, 136, 150; CHM 101, 112, 115, 142, 143, 170; or PHY 101, 102, 111, 112, 113.
