Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering

Please contact the Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs with any questions regarding the course equivalencies below.

I. GENERAL EDUCATION PROGRAM - Please consult the General Education section of the current IIT Bulletin for complete requirements.

1. Basic Writing Proficiency - Students must show basic writing proficiency by receiving a satisfactory score on the Writing Proficiency Examination or by passing an English Composition course.
2. Humanities - Choose one course from the following: ENG 211, 215, 216, 220, 221, 225; HIS 103, 104, 105, 106, 190; HUM 150, 151; or PHI 125, 126, 180, 201.
3. Social Sciences - Choose one course from the following: ANT 101, 102; ECO 101, 102; GEG 105, 115, 125; HIS 180; HUM 181; POL 201, 202; PSY 101, 104, 201, 202, 205, 210, 211, 215; SSC 101, 102, 140; or SOC 100, 101, 102, 201, 220.
4. Choose one course from section B or section C or from the following: ART 120, 125, 126, 127, 217, 220; ENG 218; HIS 140; HUM 153, 154; MUS 100, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109; or SPE 108, 110.

II. EQUIVALENCIES - Following is a list of courses that will transfer into the Computer or Electrical Engineering programs at IIT and their direct equivalents at Morton College:

Note 1. MMAE 200 can be used for the technical elective in EE or the engineering science elective in CPE.
Note 2. Required only for the EE program but can be used as the engineering science elective in CPE.
