GENERAL EDUCATION PROGRAM - Please consult the General Education section of the current IIT Bulletin for complete requirements.

1. Basic Writing Proficiency - Choose RHT 101.
2. Humanities - Choose one course from the following: ENG 102, 103, 105, 113, 114, 121, 122, 123, 231, 285, 288; HIS 121, 122, 141, 142, 151, 152; HUM 151, 152; or PHL 101, 103, 104, 105, 106.
3. Social Sciences - Choose one course from the following: ANT 101, 102, 103, 105, 150, 201, 275; ECO 102, 103, 150; GEO 104, 105, 106; PSC 150, 151, 184; PSY 100, 105, 115, 201, 210, 216, 222, 228, 238, 245; SSC 190; or SOC 100, 120, 131, 201, 210, 225, 231.
4. Choose one course from section B or section C or from the following: ARC 210; ART 111, 112, 114, 115, 210; ENG 101, 170; HIS 155, 156, 191, 192; or HUM 101, 102, 104, 131, 165.
5. Science Electives - A minimum of eleven (11) semester hours is required. Two courses must be in the same field and at least one course must be in a different field. Choose from the following: AST 101, 102; BIS 100, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 109, 110, 111, 112, 122, 205; CHM 100, 110, 140, 141; GEO 200, 201; GOL 101, 102; PHS 141, 142; or PHY 100, 101, 102.
6. Mathematics - A minimum of five (5) semester hours is required. Choose from the following: MAT 110, 111, 114, 124, 125, 170. Both MAT 124 and 170 are highly recommended for Information Technology & Management.
7. Computer Science - Required: CIS 121.
8. Free or Technical Electives -Information Technology & Management majors must have Thirty-three (33) semester hours of approved courses as free electives or technical electives.  Industrial Technology majors must have Thirty-one (31) hours of approved courses as technical electives.  Please contact IIT's Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs for additional Information.
