Application Deadlines
Overview | Spring 2010 | Fall 2010 | Special Programs
Overview
The Office of Undergraduate Admission has implemented an Early Decision and Early Action process. Students submitting a complete application by the Early Decision application deadline of November 4, 2009, will be notified after December 4, 2009. The Early Action I application deadline is December 9, 2009, with notification beginning January 8, 2010. Early Action II has a deadline of February 3, 2010, with notification beginning February 15, 2010. Once Early Action deadlines have passed, admission decisions will be made on a rolling basis. Architecture applicants are strongly encouraged to comply with the Priority Deadlines corresponding to Early Decision and Early Action I of November 4, 2009, or December 9, 2009, since space is limited.
We recommend that you submit your application as early as possible so that we can assist you throughout the process. Some programs and scholarships have special deadlines as well.

†If IIT is your top-choice school, Early Decision (ED) is a great option for you. You may apply to other colleges, but you may have only one ED application pending at any time. There are many benefits to applying for ED. Knowing early on that you have already been accepted into your top-choice college can reduce the anxiety and stress of the college application process.
If admitted under ED, you are obliged to enroll at IIT, as long as your scholarship meets your need. Immediately upon acceptance of your ED admission offer, you must withdraw all other applications and make no subsequent applications.
‡We will mail decisions for Early Action (EA) applicants on the dates indicated in the chart. EA is not binding, however it does allow you to receive your decision before regular decision applicants. This does not affect applications to other schools.
Special Programs
Special Programs are for first-year applicants only and may require a supplemental application and/or on-campus interview. In order to be reviewed for these Special Programs, students must be admitted to IIT before the specified deadlines and have all required supplemental materials submitted.
The deadline for all special program applications is December 9, 2009.
