International Student Check-in

An institution approved to issue I-20 or DS-2019 by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) or the Department of State is required to maintain specific documents and information on all F-1 and J-1 students and their dependents. To comply with the record keeping requirement, Illinois Tech International Center requires all incoming new F-1 and J-1 students to visit our office to "check-in" within two business days of their arrival to Chicago. A registration hold has been placed on your student account and will remain in effect until you check-in with the International Center. This hold will prevent you from enrolling in classes or obtaining a student ID card. This check-in is separate from the new student orientation check-in.

New International Student Check-in:
Check-in will be held weekdays August 25-29 from 9:30 AM until 12:30 PM in the MTCC Welcome Center.
Special weekend check-ins will also be available on August 16 and 17 from 10AM until 2PM in the MTCC Ballroom and on August 24 from 10AM until 2PM in the MTCC Welcome Center.
