The Certificate in Analytical Methods Development program provides the knowledge of techniques and devices for sampling in diverse media. Isolation, concentration, and fractionation of analytes and classes of analytes, as well as methods in complex matrices with an emphasis on methods development and validation, are discussed.
Coursework from the certificate program may be applied toward a Master of Science in Analytical Chemistry degree, provided a grade of “B” or higher was earned in that particular course. Admission to a master’s program is not guaranteed upon completion of the certificate program

Admission to a graduate certificate program is limited to students who qualify as non-degree graduate students who hold a bachelor's degree with a GPA of 2.5/4.0 or higher.
Academic transcripts, two letters of recommendation, and the application fee all must be submitted. A professional statement is strongly encouraged.
A GRE score is not required.
