Established in 1979 with a grant from the National Science Foundation, the Academic Resource Center (ARC) has become institutionalized as Illinois Institute of Technology’s center of study for undergraduate students, as well as a great resource for graduate students and faculty.
The Academic Resource Center is committed to fostering intellectual growth and excellent academic achievement among the undergraduate students at the university. The Dr. Scholl Foundation has provided substantial financial support to the ARC. The university and its students are extremely grateful to the foundation for its commitment to higher education at Illinois Tech.
The student support center, initially named the Educational Technology Center (ETC), was renamed the ARC in 1999, and it has continued to focus on supporting students in the rigorous engineering and science curriculum.
