Why did you choose your major/what do you want to do with your degree?
I was majoring in industrial labor relations and found that the required courses in industrial organizational psychology were the most interesting to me (more than labor law or labor history), so I switched. I want to do research that helps people live healthier, happier lives.
What is your favorite thing about the Camras Scholars Program?
Service!
Where do you see yourself in 20 years?
I'll be 63, hopefully nearing retirement from IIT.
How do you think you best represent what it means to be a Camras scholar?
I teach a popular undergrad course on "Gun violence, psychology, and public health" that I hope prepares Illinois Tech students to more effectively bring about changes to reduce gun violence in Chicago and throughout the U.S.
