Why did you choose your major/what do you want to do with your degree?

I chose humanities because I want to use my research and communication skills to promote citizen science and combat environmental inequality in urban environments. I also have an interest in helping city dwellers develop a better connection with nature, through innovative policy and community development strategies.

Where do you see yourself in 20 years?

I see myself living in Chicago and leading the fight for citywide environmental justice. I would like to be known as a steward of the local community, prioritizing people first but caring deeply for the trees and plants that grow alongside them.

How do you think you best represent what it means to be a Camras scholar?

I believe I represent what it means to be a Camras Scholar because I am naturally curious, ambitious, and altruistic.
