VoiceThread

NOTE: VoiceThread is only available to the English Language Services group.

VoiceThread is integrated with Canvas but needs to be installed on the course. To install, please follow these steps:

1. Email supportdesk@iit.edu and ask for Packback Client ID.
   Client ID sample: 212100000000000XXX
2. After receiving the Client ID from support, open your course in Canvas.
3. Go to Settings on the left-side menu.
4. Go to Apps at the top.
5. Click View App Configurations.
6. Click +App.
7. Change the Configuration Type to By Client ID.
8. Enter the Client ID in the field provided.
9. Submit.
10. Click Install.

Now, the tool is installed on your course. To use it, please follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the Assignments area of your course.
2. Create a new assignment.
3. Name the assignment and write a description if you choose.
4. Under Submission Type, select External Tool.
5. Click on the Find button.
6. Click on VoiceThread.

This will launch the VoiceThread Setup Page. Proceed to the instructor support page for details about what comes next.
