Setup Microsoft Team Classes

How to Setup Microsoft Team Classes on Canvas?

  1. Go to your course in Canvas.
  2. Go to “Settings” on the left-side menu. (It’s the very last option.)
  3. Go to “Integrations” tab at the top.
  4. Toggle Microsoft Sync State ON.
  5. Click on “Sync Now” button.

  6. Syncing process might take some time. Please feel free to close this tab and explore your course while the syncing is in progress.
    Once syncing is done, 
  7. Go to “Microsoft Teams classes” on the left-side menu.
  8. If you were asked to sign in, click on the “Sign in” button in the middle of the screen. Otherwise, you should be able to see the Microsoft Teams Class for your course.
    02 Open Canvas, Go to MS Teams Classes, Click on Sign in
  9. Click on the MS Teams Class to open it.
    03 Open the MS Teams Class
  10. You will have the choice to choose between a desktop app or a web app for the MS Teams Class. For now, let’s click on the “Use the web app instead.”.
    04 Choose either the web app or the windows app
  11. You are now in your Microsoft Teams Class. Click on the “Activate” button on the right side of the screen to let all your students of that class in.
    05 Activate your MS Teams Class to let the students in
  12. The Microsoft Teams Class is now activated and ready to use.
     
06 Your class team is now activated
