Marian M. Cook

Marian Cook is a trusted adviser to heads of governments and Fortune 500 companies worldwide on strategy, innovation, technology, and enterprise transformation in both the private and public sector. She makes the connection between strategy, innovation, execution and results, having led massive digital transformation, merger integration, and innovation programs with specific emphasis on emerging technologies.
Her executive education experience includes:
- Adjunct Professor for Illinois Institute of Technology’s Master of Business Administration capstone class on digital transformation
- For edtech leader 2U/EdX, she is head managing instructor with oversight of online instructors for MIT, Northwestern University, Yale University and University of Toronto
- She is head program instructor at 2U/EdX for MIT’s blockchain, exponential leadership, and corporate innovation classes; University of Toronto’s Digital Transformation class, and Yale University’s Women’s Leadership Program
- Executive education lecturer and workshop facilitator with Singularity University on organizational innovation, the future of work, and the future of cities conducted around the globe
Prior to joining 2U/EdX, she was a Principal at Slalom Consulting leading the Emerging Technology and Innovation Practice.
Previously, Cook spent her career in senior executive roles working for and advising leading global organizations across multiple sectors. As a result, she was asked to serve as chief strategy officer, Department of Innovation & Technology, for the state of Illinois. There she led digital transformation, strategic planning, and initiatives that gained national recognition.
