Research Interests
Mr.Calhoun has spent most of his career at Kraft Foods where he is currently Senior Manager of Procurement. Other positions he has held include Continuous Improvement Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Project Change Development Manager and ERP Implementation Manager for the Grocery Business Unit. He began his professional training in the U.S. Army in acquisition and contracting, and served as Chemical Platoon Leader. He was deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2008 as an Acquisition and Contracting Liaison for the Mayor's Cell where his work included leading a team in designing, building and opening a Host Nati on Business Center. He remains a Captain in the National Guard Inactive Ready Reserves.
Calhoun holds the following professional certifications:
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt: GPS Training. Kraft Certified (2012)
• APICS: Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) (2009)
• DOD: Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act- Level 2 Certified (2008)
He also has advanced skills in Lean Concepts, Value Stream Mapping,55, and Project Management, and is a skilled user of ERP Systems, Prosci Change Management, Minitab, and other software and design systems relevant to Supply Chain and Procurement functions.
