Melanie L. Jones

Melanie Jones advises students in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Jones brings over a decade of higher education academic advising and non for profit/volunteer management/program building experience. Her interests include building community, consulting, service learning, and developing new networks to facilitate solutions and nurture the whole student. She is an alum of SUNY Plattsburgh and The University of Vermont HESA with some additional coursework at Nazareth College. Raised in the New York City area, she is also a recent transplant to Chicago.
In her spare time, she is a fitness trainer, dancer, artist, bird watcher, and avid reader on many subjects. She is grateful to apply her skills to the Illinois Tech Armour community.
