Ruben Ocampo

Ruben Ocampo is the founder of Conic Group, a Chicago-based innovation consulting firm. He is a thought leader in the areas of innovation strategy, strategic facilitation, and human-centered design. Applying Conic’s "humanizing innovation" approach, Ruben helps leaders imagine and enact visionary change through a purpose-driven dialogue with their end customers and workforce. Ocampo's previous work experience spans three continents and includes roles such as design manager at McDonald’s Corporation, leader of the user-based design practice at Second Road in Sydney, and customer experience manager at PwC Chicago. He has worked with large clients across several sectors, including banking and financial services, manufacturing, logistics, government, infrastructure, workspace solutions, and hospitality, in the areas of organizational strategy, innovation management, and stakeholder engagement. Having received master's degrees in business administration and human-centered design, Ocampo’s engaging approach combines creative and analytical ways of creating and interpreting shared meaning.
