Tenured Associate / Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Advanced Semiconductors
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, USA, invites applications for a new faculty position in Advanced Semiconductors at the tenure-track assistant or tenured associate professor levels. Appointment at the latter rank requires candidates to have a sustained record of achievement in research, teaching and service.
- All areas, theoretical and experimental, related to Advanced Semiconductors are of interest, including but not limited to: Compound semiconductors;
- Excitonics, phononics, plasmonics, etc.; Material and device physics and engineering;
- Quantum semiconductor science and engineering;
- Fundamental condensed matter physics related to semiconductors;
- Development of semiconductor devices for space, medical, extreme applications, etc.

A PhD or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Materials Science, or similar subject, is required by the time of appointment.
