The field of energy efficiency in the built environment is rapidly growing in response to the fact that our buildings are the highest energy consumers in the US. The team of experts from Cyclone Energy Group will talk about the company’s diverse building energy efficiency practice, including energy modeling, commissioning, and retro-commissioning services. Irina Susorova will introduce building energy modeling used to analyze building performance to achieve building code compliance, LEED certification, and to evaluate energy retrofit options. Frank Kohout will talk about new building Commissioning, a quality control process that ensures all building systems (HVAC, plumbing, and electrical) are operated as specified and deliver the desired indoor environmental quality while minimizing the resources they consume. Finally, Greg Swiss will present building Retro-Commissioning, which applies the Commissioning process to existing buildings. The team will share their work experience and present some interesting recent projects.
