Careers in Finance - Brian Peterson, Braverock Investments

Brian Peterson, Managing Member at Braverock Investments LLC, will give a presentation on Careers in Finance on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 4:30–5:30 p.m. in Room 490 at the Downtown Campus.

In addition to his position at Braverock, Brian is a lecturer in the University of Washington, where he created the Quantitative Trading course sequence. He is the lead instructor in the Graduate Applied Math, Computational Finance, and Risk Management program's course in Quantitative Trading Strategy Development.

He has a background in computational physics and computer science from University of Wisconsin-Madison. Previously, he has served as Managing Director at Hehmeyer Trading + Investments; Head Trader, Automated Trading at DV Trading; Senior Risk and Quant Analyst at CIBC; Senior Financial Engineer at Breakwater Trading, and Director of Quantitative Analysis at Cheiron Trading. Brian has experience in areas such as portfolio management, technical architecture, quantitative financial analysis, and project delivery. As the lead of Quantitative Trading Desk, he is involved in developing and rolling out new quantitative strategies for futures market.
