Illinois Tech and Bronzeville Diva Productions present a special evening with “Living Legacies” Phil Castleberry, Brady Williams, and Mike Logan, who will be accompanied by the incomparable vocal talent of Senabella Gill, Nanette Frank, and Mae Koen, on Friday February 25, 2022 at 7 p.m. The concert takes place in the ballroom of The McCormick Tribune Campus Center. Free parking is available on State Street between 33rd Boulevard and 32nd Street.

Philip Castleberry

Playing acoustic and electric bass, Philip has accompanied Cab Calloway, Sammy Davis Jr., Billy Eckstine, The Nicholas Brothers, The O’Jays, The Drifters, Little Anthony, and the Imperials, to name a few. He has toured extensively throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan. His numerous recording credits include Della Reese, The Dells, and a Grammy-nominated album with Albertina Walker. Philip currently performs and tours with Ronnie Baker Brooks.

Mike Logan

Mike Logan has been playing piano professionally for more than 40 years. He started out with the Staple Singers in 1978 and has moved on to play with many other artists, such as The Emotions, Gene Chandler, Ramsey Lewis, Will Downing, Tyler Perry, Michael McDonald, Boz Scaggs, and many more.

Senabella Gill, the “Bronzeville Diva”

Senabella Gill, as an opening act, has shared the stage with Stevie Wonder, Will Downing, Roberta Flack, Jeffrey Osbourne, Angela Bofill, and the late Stanley Turrentine. Her latest work, The Art of Protest, is a collaborative effort with Robert Irving III, Miles Davis' keyboardist of nine years, and five-time Grammy Award nominee.

Nanette Frank, the “Powerhouse Diva”

Nanette has toured with Miki Howard, Stanley Clarke, Herbie Hancock, Alex Bugnon, The Crusaders, Warren Hill, John Lucian, and many more!

Mae Koen

Mae is a vocal arranger, harmonic technician, and sang backup for “The Queen of Soul,” Aretha Franklin, for more than 20 years!
