Community Book Club—Remembrance by Rita Woods

We are reading Remembrance by Rita Woods. Remembrance was the recipient of the 2020 African-American Literature Award for Historical fiction and the 2021 Hurston/Wright Legacy Award for Debut Fiction. Remembrance tells a complex story of loss and survival across 200 years by four women, united by the color of their skin and the supernatural powers they command. The Boston Globe calls Remembrance “stunning....Family is at the core of Remembrance, the breathtaking debut novel by Rita Woods.”

The Community Book Club meets every other Thursday evening, beginning April 7, via Zoom.
