Description

Data Science is rapidly becoming a mainstream and mission critical function across enterprises. What does it mean from a practitioners point of view – what business value and return on investment are expected, what types of problems are encountered in the field, what daily tasks are typically performed, which techniques and tools are frequently used, what challenges must be overcome?

Trends of blending Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Computing with Data Science are also presented and discussed.

This talk presents a point of view from industry and consulting practice and intends to generate thoughts and discussion on the role of Universities performing research and preparing specialists in the data science field.
