Family Fun Day: Ecology

Join the Office of Community Affairs and Outreach for a day filled with STEM adventures and creativity on our Illinois Tech Mies Campus! Our Family Fun Day: Ecology event is the perfect opportunity for families to explore the world of ecology together. Get ready to unleash your inner scientist.

This in-person event will take place at Siegel Hall on Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 10 a.m.–2 p.m., where you and your family will have the chance to participate in hands-on activities, such as:

• How to make plastic wrap with natural ingredients (fish gelatin)

• How to grow healthy crops

• Learning about the water filtration process.

Our team of experienced faculty, farmers, and water professionals will be there to guide you through the process and answer any questions you may have. This event is suitable for children six to 12 years old.

Please note: Parents are required to stay with their children and complete a participation waiver before their child(ren) can participate.

Please email a completed copy of the waiver to community@iit.edu or bring a physical copy on the day of the event.

Parking is available in parking lot B5 and B6 located at 33rd and Federal Street.
