Pumpkins aren’t the only thing being launched Family Weekend, when the School of Applied Terror presents “Haunted House: Scarlet Crypt” on Saturday, October 15, from 6:00 – 9:00 pm in the Stuart Building at the corner of 31st & State Street. Experience the terrifying experience of ghosts and zombies rising from an ancient burial ground uncovered beneath campus grounds near the Stuart building. What has become known as the Legend of Scarlet Crypt is a little-known story in the Illinois Tech community, though some have claimed to see ghosts and spirits of a former time wander campus this time of year. Get ready for frights and delights when touring “Haunted House: Scarlet Crypt.” Admission is FREE! IIT’s Alternative Spring Break (IIT ASB), will be selling taffy apples as a fall fundraiser.

*Although open to all students, parents, and their families, this event is rated mature and not suited for children aged 13 or under without accompaniment by an adult.

Student volunteers are needed to help make the event a success. If you are interested in volunteering, please get in touch with Carolyn Nivling at cnivling@iit.edu.
