Overview
Contemporary leadership is about creating change (and leading people), and change creates stress. Stress and leadership are intimately linked. Stress can be a valuable form of motivation or a destructive force, depending on how it is managed.
So how do leaders build resilience and cope with stress themselves and how do they pay attention to their organization’s stress level? Our session will explore some of the best ways to build personal resilience in individuals and teams.
Objectives
- Understand that stress is good, and stress is bad, and stress is inevitable
- Recognizing stress, in others and in your own life
- Ways to manage stress
- The impact of mission and meaning on work and stress
- Making sure we do not mix up resilience and endurance
- Personal preparation for a stressful world
