Abstract
In this talk we will focus on navigating the legal issues of starting a food and beverage business. We will touch on corporate formation to avoid personal liability to founders; selecting and protecting branding and product names; and local, state, and federal regulatory requirements to consider when starting and growing the business.
Bio
Sean Swidler has been practicing law for 20-plus years and founded Chicago-based Swidler Law Group in 2019 to provide intellectual property, product regulatory, and corporate counseling to CPG companies. He collaborates with large companies with global reach and portfolios, mid-size companies whose growth rides on protecting their innovations, and solo inventors and startups launching businesses from new ideas.
