National Freedom Day Mixer

This event will begin with a panel discussion and remain a casual networking opportunity. It will have a semi-formal dress code so that both invited guests and students can look their best while still feeling at ease. We want everyone to arrive in whatever manner they find most comfortable.

Eating and socializing will take up a significant portion of the event, allowing attendees to network professionally and come up with new ideas on how to help communities of color in the Chicago area. Students will practice networking and communication skills during this event in preparation for possible internship and full-time employment possibilities.

Although there is a semi-formal dress requirement, the event’s content is relaxed and informal because one of our objectives is to promote community understanding for communication and mental health.
