Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) is pleased to announce the Real-Time
Communications Lab will host the annual IIT Real-Time Communications (RTC) Conference and Expo – October 14 – 16, 2019 in Hermann Hall on the IIT main campus in Chicago, IL.

The IIT RTC Conference is a globally recognized collaborative event where the interactive multimedia and real-time communications industries and academia connect.

The conference brings together developers, technical professionals and business executives from industry, standards, policy, regulatory, and research, promoting an open exchange of ideas to lead future development in the rapidly changing field of real-time communications

This year’s event promises to be the biggest and best to date! This is a multi-tracked conference that will run over three days, focusing on the major areas of:

  • Internet of Things (IoT)
  • WebRTC
  • Next Generation Emergency Communications
  • Programmable Telecom Networks
  • IPTComm – Juried research papers
  • TADSummit Americas


On Monday, October 14, registrants have the opportunity to participate in a day of Tutorials covering important and timely topics in real-time communications taught by leading subject-matter experts. Tutorials are complimentary for Full-conference registrants.

IPTComm, an independent academic conference whose focus is applied research in the area of Real-Time Communications, will once again be hosted as a track in the IIT RTC Conference. Research papers accepted by IPTComm will be presented in the track and published. Publication details will be available on the IPTComm website.
