Recent Developments in CT and X-Ray Medical Imaging

The presentation provides an overview of Computed Tomography (CT) and interventional X-ray medical imaging systems and techniques. X-ray and CT systems designs are briefly described and recent developments in X-ray imaging chain including X-ray detector technology and tomographic reconstruction techniques for 3D viewing are described. Developments in machine learning based approaches to image processing and reconstruction will also be reviewed, with concluding remarks on research and employment opportunities in the growing X-ray imaging field.
