Description

Creating a trustworthy environment for open science is critical. How can we best do this as scientific collaborations become global and interdisciplinary, the capacity of instruments and cyberinfrastructure increases, and the resulting data sets explode in volume? Most enterprise IT practices are ill suited for scientific endeavors. I’ll discuss the threat profile and common risks to open science and the impact on research productivity, address some consequences via case studies and present resources to help address this challenge.
