Policy No. B. 5.00

Date of Issue 7/2/2014

It is the policy of the university to evaluate the performance of each staff member at regular intervals during his/her employment. The appraisal identifies job accountabilities and performance objectives and measures results against expectations.

5.01

Performance appraisals will follow the schedule below

  • Upon the completion of the six-month probationary period,
  • Six months after a promotion, and
  • Annually thereafter or no later than the common date designated by the university administration.

5.02

During the annual merit review process, merit increases are tied to performance ratings. For that purpose, supervisors are required to complete a performance appraisal.

5.03

Human Resources will, from time to time, provide supervisory training sessions on effective techniques for performance review.
