Your Path to Practical Breakthroughs
At the Ed Kaplan Family Institute for Innovation and Tech Entrepreneurship, we understand that practical breakthroughs come from people who are not just good at technology but also at leadership.
People who understand that influence, inspiration, and human insight are important components to driving positive change and who also see technology as the means.
That’s why we’ve created programs specifically designed to guide Illinois Tech students on a direct path toward becoming Chicago’s next tech leaders.
Our programs are offered as Interprofessional Projects (IPRO) Program courses and are classified into five categories: the Startup Studio, Tech Competitions, Deep Tech Science, Industry and Community Labs, and the Genisys program. They often contain co-curricular components and opportunities to advance and fund projects beyond the classroom. We also hire many students to support our entrepreneurial ecosystem.
While students are always in the driver’s seat, our programs allow industry experts and faculty to advise them as they lead an innovation project.
