AAAS student and postdoc discounted membership offer
Students and postdocs interested in joining the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) can do so at a discounted rate until May 31, 2016.

In addition to the regular membership benefits, AAAS will be offering several professional development courses for student members beginning May 1, 2016. Student members will be able to take two of these courses per year at no additional cost. Some of these courses are:
- The Federal R&D Budget: Issues that can derail grant proposals
- Policy & Advocacy
- Science Communication
- Survival Skills for Early Career Scientists
- Three courses on NSF Proposals, including one which focuses on Best Practices for Writing Proposals
