Assistant Professor of Psychology Mahima Saxena Receives Faculty Innovation Grant
Assistant Professor of Psychology Mahima Saxena has been awarded a 2019 Faculty Innovation Grant. The grant will fund a new project to address burnout in STEM students at Illinois Institute of Technology.
"Burnout is a serious problem in the STEM community," Saxena says. "Using evidence-driven practices, this project will create a locally implementable burnout management and recovery program exclusively for [Illinois Tech] STEM students so as to prevent the onset of burnout and aid recovery for the [Illinois Tech] student community."
With the support of the grant, training workshops on burnout management and recovery will be made available to all Illinois Tech students for the 2019–2020 academic year with the goal of increasing health and well-being for all participating students.
