Associate Professor Kang-Mieler Honored with APAO Achievement Award

During its 33rd Congress in Hong Kong last month, the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) presented ARVO Board Trustee Jennifer J. Kang-Mieler, PhD. FARVO, with a 2018 Achievement Award. Kang Mieler, Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology, was recognized for her many contributions to the scientific programs of the APAO Annual Congress. These include serving on the 2017 Program Committee as convener of the retina (medical) program and organizer of various symposiums in past years.
