CAEE Assistant Professor Lili Du’s Driverless City Project Featured in WIRED Magazine
Lili Du, Assistant Professor of Transportation Engineering in Armour College of Engineering's Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering Department and her research partner Marshall Brown, Associate Professor of Architecture were interviewed by WIRED Magazine about their research project The Driverless City. In the article the team discusses the long-term changes that will need to be implemented by cities to maximize the benefits of autonomous vehicles. Last Fall the team was named a finalist in the Nayar Prize at Illinois Institute of Technology. They were granted $100,000 over the next year to further develop guidelines that will shape transportation infrastructure for autonomous vehicles in the future.
