CAEE Department to Participate in Argonne National Laboratory Research to Solve Transit Problems During Emergencies
On February 13, 2015 the Chicago Tribune featured an article announcing the award of a $2.9 million federal grant to Argonne National Laboratory to research how transit systems in major cities can best cope with emergencies like massive storms or flooding. Armour College of Engineering’s Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering is participating in the project with Argonne National Laboratory and the Urban Transportation Center at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
