Class of 2019: Eight Students, Eight Unique Stories
At Illinois Tech, one of the most diverse college campuses in the United States, no two students are alike, and there’s perhaps no occasion where that is more apparent than Commencement day. Even as the students come together to share and celebrate this major milestone in their lives, the event marks a series of life journeys and educational experiences for each of them that couldn’t be more distinct. Among the 2,312 students who will graduate during Illinois Tech’s 150th Commencement Exercise on May 18, eight students—one from each of the university’s colleges—opened up about their personal stories: the biggest lessons they’ve learned, where they are headed next, and what Illinois Tech means to them.
